“Gitane” refers to a gypsy woman, and San Francisco’s Titans Restaurant and Bar captures the free-spiritedness perfectly with its bold mishmash of styles from the ’50s, ’60s and ’70s Artwork from Turkey and the United Kingdom sit alongside photographs by Nazif Topcuoglu on hand-printed wallpapers.

Thompson Hotels at Smyth Tribeca

Fans of luxury hotel chain Thompson Hotels can now live permanently in designer luxury at Smyth Tribeca, which has 15 condominium apartments besides 100 hotel rooms. The apartments, known as Smyth Upstairs, are located at the top of the 13-story building, which will also house a cellar bar and a restaurant.

Belvedere Hotel Restaurant and Bar

While tinkering with Belvedere Hotel’s design, Rockwell Group took a cue from the nearby Aegean Sea and the Mykonos region, incorporating similar materials and forms in its revamp of Matsuhisa restaurant and its design of the new Belvedere Hotel Restaurant and Bar. The former is nova a wonderland of bougainvillea vines with panels of painted cherry blossom trees, illuminated by cast glass balls.

Located at Valley Point Shopping Centre, Dozo is a one-of-a-kind modern Japanese concept that offers a multi-course ‘degustation’ menu, offering the best of Japanese, French and European cuisine.

While most ‘degustation’ menus features set courses, Dozo presents diners with a choice of dishes for each course. Pick from an extensive selection to create your own lavish six-course lunch ($38.80) or sumptuous seven-course dinner ($58.80). If you prefer to stick to one or two dishes, an a la carte menu is available.

The ‘degustation’ menu features quality, fresh ingredients and changes seasonally. All dishes are presented on Japanese black-and-white porcelain for an lkebana-inspired feel.
