Clikball to share and discover links in real-time

Clikball is a unique way to share and discover interesting information across the Web in real-time. Since it’s a Firefox extension (also compatible with Flock), the magic happens right inside your browser. Whenever you find something interesting you want to share, simply click the Clikball button on your browser toolbar and then add a title and comment (optional). You can then choose to share your link with a single follower, a specific group of followers, or all of your followers; there’s also an option to share the link on FriendFeed, Facebook and/or Twitter if you like.

Share links with friends on Clikball, FriendFeed, Facebook and Twitter.Since Clikball happens within the browser, you’re able to keep track of your cliks and followers right from your browser status bar; no need to go to the actual Clikball website. You can also click that area in your status bar to display cliks from all of the people you’re following in a notification window. From this notification window, you can also access the Clikball homepage and options as well as search through cliks.

View cliks from people you're following via the notification window.

Whenever someone you’re following share’s a link, a smaller version of the above window will be displayed – showing the one clik. If you’d like, you can add a comment to the link just like anyone else who is following that person – this in turn can lead to interesting conversations right from your browser window. So, as you can probably guess, whenever you share a link your followers will see the same thing on their end. Whenever one of your followers clicks on one your shared links, that counts as a “clik”. As of now, I really don’t see cliks meaning that much except to compile the top users list but, for you competitive users, it’s a great way to measure how popular your links are on Clikball.

What’s also nice about Clikball is that they’ve recently implemented the ability to import your blog into your clik stream or as they call it, “connect with your blog”. This is a great way to promote your blog since every time you publish a new post, it will pop up for all of your followers to see, clik, and hopefully share. All you will need for this is your blog rss feed link.Connect and promote your blog on Clikball.

So as you can see, Clikball is a great way to share information quickly and with ease. No matter what website you’re on, you can interact and share links on Clikball. Not only is it a great way to promote your blog but it’s also a great way to meet new and interesting people.

Are you already “cliking” away? Feel free to share your experiences with us – likes and/or dislikes.

If you’re not a member of Clikball yet, is this something that you plan on trying out?
