Have plenty of video files in your computer and tired of watching them on your small monitor? Storage solutions pioneer Western Digital (WD) has launched the WD TV Mini Media Player (MMP), which supports an array of video formats, including the popular RealMedia Variable Bitrate (RMVB) format.
Simply connect the MMP to your high-definition (HD) TV, plug in your external USB 2.0 hard disk or camcorder into the MMP and you can enjoy videos on your HD TV in up to 1080i HD resolution. One drawback is the lack of an HDMI port; it supports only component and composite video output.
The WD TV MMP also supports audio and photo playback. You can easily view photos by plugging in your hard disk or digital camera via USB connection. At only 21X91X91mm, its compact size means you can take it along for your holidays or for a chalet stay to enjoy the multimedia experience with friends and family. Get it at $129.
